Event Details

Wisconsin Dells author and retired registered nurse Terri Sorg will speak virtually Tuesday, May 18 at 6:30pm. Her "Heart Fairy" series for kids and parents about the importance of loving yourself has a unique way of matching their messages to what’s on the minds and moods of many families across the country. The newest one in the series is titled Anxiety and was released in March.  In this virtual talk Sorg will talk about reducing anxiety in families from her own personal experiences but also as a mental health professional.

Terri Sorg holds a Bachelor of Science degree from UW- Madison and is a retired Registered Nurse. In her nursing career she worked with troubled teens and the mentally ill. Early on when she learned of the work being done in hospice, she became a volunteer and received training in energy healing. At this time she discovered her niche in nursing—mental health—where treatment, she says, is as much an art as it is a science. She enjoyed helping troubled young people find new ways to cope, heal and live within their communities. Sorg is a mother and grandmother and loves reading to children. She is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
